What You Do to Save the World’s Endangered Species Today Will Be Treasured by Your Children Tomorrow

Join us to help a team of biologists and conservationists as they make an effort to help recover the population of the endangered Olive Ridley sea turtles.  Each year thousands of these turtle eggs are laid on the beaches of Banderas Bay. Come witness this nature event, participate in the release of turtle hatchlings to the ocean and support the work of the Mexican turtle camps.


AREA: Nayarit
SEASON: August - December. Every day (Exept Sundays).

ACTIVITIES:

  • Sea Turtle Lecture and Video.
  • Visit to Turtle Camp.
  • Beach Patrol in search of egg-laying turtles.
  • Hatchling release into the ocean.

ITINERARY


> 8:30 p.m. Meet at Ecotours de México’s
office downtown.
> 9:00 p.m. Second meeting point, at the lighthouse in Marina Vallarta (For guests staying close to that area).
> Drive to Nuevo Vallarta, turtle lecture and video presentation, typical Mexican dinner and turtle search.
> 12:30 a.m. Return to Puerto Vallarta.


INCLUDED:

  • Transportation.
  • Dinner (coffee, fruit, sodas, water and sweet rolls.)
  • Donation to The Olive Ridley Turtle Research and
    Conservation Project in the Bay of Banderas.
